Jeannie and I both had a tradition of making gingerbread houses at Christmas time with our children. In 2002 when we became acquainted, we discovered that we both had the gingerbread bug! We got our families together and made gingerbread cars to entice the men and boys to join in the fun. We have been making houses and other cookie creations together ever since.
We take ordinary, everyday food such as carrot slices, dry them and turn them into beautiful flowers and dried oranges or kiwi into elegant windows. We gather the unwanted weeds and create new varieties of fullage. One of our new discoveries this year was the mung bean. We have even created a new plant called "The Rasmung Bush". One item we always use is gumdrops although most people don't recognize them as we have changed their form! We love each of our houses. Every one is different and special to us. They have themes with characters full of personality that make each cottage come to life. We feel that our name appropriatedly describes what these creations do, Tickle our Hearts!
